1. 100-Day Guarantee — Non-Refundable Store Credit

1.1 Nature of the Guarantee

ROOTS BAREFOOT offers customers a 100-day commercial guarantee on Roots Care tools, allowing them to try the product and assess whether it suits their needs, expectations, and usage routine.

This guarantee allows the customer to request a credit for the amount paid for the Roots Care tool in the form of store credit, provided that the request is made within 100 calendar days from the order delivery date.

This guarantee does not affect any legal rights the customer may have in the event of a defective product; rather, it constitutes an additional commercial guarantee voluntarily offered by ROOTS BAREFOOT under the conditions described herein.

1.2 Exclusive Form of Compensation

Compensation under the 100-Day Guarantee will be provided exclusively through store credit.

Under no circumstances may the amount be refunded by returning it to the original payment method, via bank transfer, card, cash, Bizum, PayPal, or any other monetary method.

Store credit may not be converted into money, requested as a monetary refund, or exchanged for cash, even if the customer states that they do not wish to purchase other products from ROOTS BAREFOOT.

1.3 Store Credit Amount

Store credit will be issued for the amount actually paid for the Roots Care tool covered by the request.

The following are excluded from the credit:

  • Original shipping costs.
  • Transportation costs, if any.
  • Additional services purchased by the customer.
  • Costs arising from payment methods, if any.
  • Discounts, promotions, coupons, or amounts not actually paid by the customer.

If the product was purchased with a discount, promotion, coupon, or any commercial benefit, the credit will be calculated based on the amount actually paid by the customer, not the product’s original price.

1.4 No Physical Return of the Product

For hygiene, health safety, and the protection of other customers, Roots Care tools that have been opened, handled, tested, or used must not be physically returned unless ROOTS BAREFOOT expressly requests it.

As these products may come into direct contact with the skin, feet, or toes, ROOTS BAREFOOT cannot resell tools that have been used or potentially used by another person.

For this reason, activating the 100-Day Guarantee does not involve a traditional product return or a refund, but rather the issuance of store credit in accordance with the conditions set out in this policy.

1.5 Use of Store Credit

The store credit will be provided through a code, coupon, balance, or equivalent system determined by ROOTS BAREFOOT.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the store credit:

  • It will not expire.
  • It may be used for a future purchase in the ROOTS BAREFOOT online store.
  • It may be applied to any product available in the store, except for expressly stated exclusions.
  • It may not be used to pay shipping costs unless ROOTS BAREFOOT expressly authorizes it.
  • It may not be combined with other coupons, discounts, or promotions unless expressly stated.
  • It may not be transferred, sold, assigned, or converted into cash.

ROOTS BAREFOOT is not responsible for improper use, loss, transfer, or disclosure of the credit code to third parties once it has been sent to the customer.

1.6 Single Use of the Guarantee

The 100-Day Guarantee is granted only once per customer, regardless of the number of Roots Care tools purchased in the past, present, or future.

The customer may not activate this guarantee repeatedly, intermittently, successively, or consecutively for the purpose of obtaining improper benefits, testing products without genuine intent to use them, creating purchase-credit-purchase cycles, or abusing this policy in any other way.

ROOTS BAREFOOT may limit, suspend, or reject new requests when it detects repeated, unusual, abusive, or bad-faith use.

1.7 Procedure for Activating the 100-Day Guarantee

To activate the guarantee, the customer must contact ROOTS BAREFOOT through the official customer service channels within 100 calendar days of order delivery.

The customer must provide, at a minimum:

  • Full name.
  • Order number.
  • The email address used for the purchase.
  • The product for which you wish to activate the guarantee.
  • A brief explanation of the reason for the request.

ROOTS BAREFOOT may request additional information to verify the customer's identity, the delivery date, the product's eligibility, and compliance with the terms of this policy.

Once the request has been reviewed and approved, ROOTS BAREFOOT will issue the corresponding store credit.

1.8 Exclusions from the 100-Day Guarantee

The 100-Day Guarantee will not apply in the following cases:

  • Requests submitted more than 100 calendar days after order delivery.
  • Products that are not part of the Roots Care range.
  • Products purchased through third parties, marketplaces, unauthorized distributors, or channels unrelated to ROOTS BAREFOOT.
  • Products obtained free of charge through giveaways, collaborations, promotional gifts, or commercial activities without direct payment.
  • Requests submitted by customers who have previously used this warranty.
  • Cases where there are indications of abuse, fraud, bad faith, or improper exploitation.
  • Products that have been tampered with, modified, altered, or intentionally damaged.
  • Requests for which the purchase or the customer's identity cannot be verified.

1.9 Right to Reject Requests Due to Abusive or Fraudulent Use

ROOTS BAREFOOT reserves the right to reject any request to activate the 100-Day Warranty when it finds reasonable indications of abuse, fraud, improper use, tampering, document falsification, product alteration, or any conduct contrary to contractual good faith.

The request may also be rejected when the customer's behavior indicates an intention to use the warranty as a system for indefinite testing, product rotation, recurring credit, or any other practice that distorts the purpose of this warranty.

2. Warranty of Use and Durability — Genuine Defects in Roots Care Tools

2.1 Purpose of the Warranty

Roots Care tools are covered by a warranty against genuine manufacturing defects or material failures that prevent their normal use for the purpose for which they were designed.

This warranty covers exclusively objective, verifiable defects that do not result from improper use, handling, modification, ordinary wear and tear, or external damage caused by the customer or third parties.

2.2 Covered Defects

Defects covered by this warranty are those that, following evaluation by ROOTS BAREFOOT, are determined to result from a genuine manufacturing or material defect and that prevent or significantly hinder normal use of the tool.

By way of guidance, the following may be considered covered defects:

  • Premature breakages that are not consistent with normal use of the product.
  • Structural material failures.
  • Visible manufacturing defects.
  • Abnormal deformations not resulting from heat, excessive tension, or handling.
  • Failures that prevent the tool from being used correctly.

2.3 Defects Not Covered

The following will not be covered by this warranty:

  • Surface marks that do not affect the product's functionality.
  • Minor aesthetic variations inherent to the material or manufacturing process.
  • Normal wear and tear resulting from regular use.
  • Changes in color, texture, or appearance resulting from use, cleaning, perspiration, environmental exposure, or the passage of time.
  • Damage caused by cuts, tears, bites, snags, or punctures.
  • Excessive or forced stretching.
  • Damage resulting from incorrect fitting.
  • Damage caused by exposure to heat, radiators, prolonged direct sunlight, dryers, or other heat sources.
  • Damage caused by chemicals, alcohols, bleach, harsh detergents, oils, or substances not recommended.
  • Breaks consistent with external handling, modification, or intentional tampering.
  • Damage resulting from use other than that intended for the tool.
  • Damage caused by failure to follow the instructions for use, cleaning, storage, or maintenance.

2.4 Issue assessment

To assess any issue, the customer must contact ROOTS BAREFOOT through the official channels and provide clear, sharp, and sufficient photographs showing the alleged defect.

ROOTS BAREFOOT may request:

  • Additional photographs.
  • Videos of the product.
  • Information about how the tool was used.
  • Approximate date when the defect began.
  • Description of the issue.
  • Physical return of the product for inspection, if deemed necessary.

The customer's lack of cooperation, refusal to provide the requested information, or inability to properly assess the product may result in denial of the warranty.

2.5 Assessment criteria

ROOTS BAREFOOT will assess each issue according to technical, functional, and reasonable criteria, taking into account:

  • Product type.
  • Manufacturing material.
  • Time elapsed since purchase.
  • Expected normal use.
  • Nature of the reported defect.
  • Images, videos, or evidence provided.
  • Whether the damage is consistent with a manufacturing defect or external damage.
  • Signs of tampering, cutting, excessive tension, modification, or misuse.

The existence of a break, mark, deformation, or deterioration will not automatically mean that a defect covered by the warranty exists.

2.6 Resolution in the event of a legitimate defect

If ROOTS BAREFOOT determines that the reported defect is a genuine manufacturing or material failure covered by this warranty, the tool will be replaced at no cost to the customer.

The replacement will be the same model originally purchased. If it is unavailable, ROOTS BAREFOOT may offer an equivalent model, a product with similar features, or another reasonable alternative solution.

Product replacement will not entitle the customer to a refund, additional compensation, or an indefinite extension of the warranty.

2.7 Grounds for rejecting the warranty

ROOTS BAREFOOT may reject application of the usage and durability warranty when:

  • The damage is consistent with external handling.
  • The product has cuts, tears, or breaks not attributable to a manufacturing defect.
  • The deterioration is the result of improper use.
  • The product has been altered, modified, or tampered with.
  • The damage results from normal wear and tear.
  • Sufficient evidence is not provided to assess the issue.
  • The information provided by the customer is incomplete, contradictory, or unverifiable.
  • There are indications of abuse, fraud, or bad faith.

2.8 Final decision

The final decision on whether a defect covered by this warranty exists will rest with ROOTS BAREFOOT after reviewing the evidence provided and, where applicable, the physical product.

This decision will be made on a reasoned basis, taking into account the nature of the product, the reported defect, and the available evidence.

3. Relationship between the 100-Day Warranty and the Use and Durability Warranty

The 100-Day Warranty and the Use and Durability Warranty serve different purposes.

The 100-Day Warranty allows the customer to assess whether the Roots Care tool meets their needs, offering store credit as the sole compensation.

The Use and Durability Warranty covers actual manufacturing or material defects that prevent normal use of the product.

Neither warranty may be used abusively, cumulatively, or fraudulently to obtain an undue advantage.

Activating one warranty does not automatically imply acceptance of the other.

4. Products in contact with the skin and hygiene

The customer acknowledges and accepts that Roots Care tools are products intended for direct or indirect contact with the skin, feet, or toes.

For reasons of hygiene, safety, and consumer protection, products that have been opened, used, tested, or handled may not be returned for subsequent resale.

This circumstance justifies certain commercial solutions offered by ROOTS BAREFOOT being provided through store credit or replacement, rather than through the physical return of the product or a monetary refund, except in cases legally applicable.

5. Limitation of liability

ROOTS BAREFOOT shall not be liable for damage, discomfort, injuries, irritation, worsening of pre-existing conditions, or any consequence arising from:

  • Incorrect use of the product.
  • Excessive or non-progressive use.
  • Failure to adapt gradually.
  • Use contrary to the instructions provided.
  • Use in the presence of medical conditions without first consulting a healthcare professional.
  • Handling or modification of the product.
  • Subjective customer expectations not related to an actual product defect.

Roots Care tools do not replace the diagnosis, treatment, or monitoring provided by a healthcare professional. In the event of persistent pain, injury, a pre-existing condition, or uncertainty about the product’s suitability, consulting a qualified professional is recommended.

6. Acceptance of the policy

The purchase, use, or request to activate any of the warranties applicable to the Roots Care range implies express acceptance of this policy.

ROOTS BAREFOOT reserves the right to modify, update, or expand this policy at any time, without prejudice to any rights the customer may have under the regulations applicable at the time of purchase.
