Size Guide - ROOTS NOMAD

What margin to leave?

We recommend leaving a minimum of 1 cm margin between the length of your foot and that of the insole. If you know you will wear very thick socks, you can even opt to leave up to 1.5 cm without problem.

It is possible that for this model you need 1 or 2 sizes larger than your usual size. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Measurements from our guide

The lengths indicated in our size guide correspond to the length of the inner insole, that is, what the insole you rest your foot on actually measures. The interior space of the shoe is not much larger, since the fur takes up space.

Do the shoes stretch?

Yes, with use the Nomad shoes stretch slightly, and the fur flattens a bit and adapts to the shape of the foot. Still, it is important not to choose too tight a size from the start. Better a bit more space than less.

✅ Key recommendations:

  • Measure your foot well (ideally at the end of the day).
  • Check the insole length corresponding to each size in our chart.
  • Add at least 1 cm to the result of your measurement.
  • If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one (especially if you wear winter socks).

🛑 Avoid unnecessary exchanges

Keep this information in mind to avoid later size exchanges. The Nomad model is very soft and comfortable, but it needs a good internal margin from the start to offer its maximum comfort.

How to measure my foot?

  1. Place your foot on the paper on a flat, smooth surface. Position the paper and your heel against the wall. Use a pencil to mark the farthest point of your foot (it doesn’t have to be the big toe). Measure both feet.
  2. Measure the distance between the bottom edge of the paper and the line drawn with the pencil. This will be the actual length of your foot.
  3. You can also trace the outline of your foot on a sheet of paper.
  4. We recommend that you choose a size that allows for a margin of between 0.7cm and 1.3cm longer than the length of your foot. Remember that the length shown in the chart is the measurement of the inside of the shoe.
  5. If you are unsure about sizes, you can buy two pairs and then return the one that doesn't fit.
